The main goal for this website is to make reviewing material easier for students and parents. Therefore, I have created a separate page for each of the skills fifth and fourth grade math students might cover in class or see on homework. By clicking on the links below, you will be able to view video lessons on how to work through the skill, some practice problems your child can work, and word problems applying the skill (so that your child better understands "why I need to know this"). Just click on the heading for each skill to access the page. They are divided into what the students learn within each nine weeks. I will constantly add new videos and lessons throughout the year, so please check every week to see what we are learning and how the skill is being taught in class.
Remember, the three things to look for on the individual skill pages are:
1. A video that reviews the methods I taught in class for that particular skill or standard
2. A link to a file with sample problems to reinforce the lesson (just click on the link provided)
3. Sample word problems similar to the ones that your child will need to answer on standardized tests and use in "the real world" (Answers to the practice problems will be added as soon as possible. Some pages will not have word problems because the skill does not require them.)
Fourth Grade Lessons
Click on the skill to access the lesson video and practice pages. If you are unsure about which skill to click on, check the calendar on the homepage.
